“A hilarious, heartbreaking, and highly entertaining escapade, visiting every should’ve, would’ve, and could’ve in the many lives of Joshua Hoffman. Starting from an ingenious premise, the novel effortlessly carries us to an inevitable (and spectacular) reckoning.”
—Daniel H. Wilson, New York Times bestselling author of Robopocalypse and Hole in the Sky

“Jared Young's This Will Be the End of Me is a propulsively plotted, surprisingly philosophical, and bloody fun take on identity, self-deception, and the roads not taken. This thriller will draw you in with its ingenious premise but keep you glued to the page with its sharp characterization and rollercoaster storytelling.”
—Kevin Chong, author of The Double Life of Benson Yu

“An ingenious high-concept page-turner of a thriller that over-delivers on every one of its promises, then drops a final twist that will haunt you for life. So good it made me want to murder the author.”
—Paul Bradley Carr, author of The Confessions

"Would you kill to become a better version of yourself? This Will Be the End of Me is an irresistible thriller that will leave you questioning everything. Smart, fast-paced and totally unique, I read it in three sittings."
—Alex Pavesi, author of Ink Ribbon Red

“In This Will Be the End of Me, Jared Young has done the nearly-impossible. This novel is stylistically innovative, seriously thrilling, superbly written, and refreshingly unique in its imaginaries. Young blends the too-real realism of contemporary life with the uncanny near-future to ask some of the toughest questions we all fear to answer: “Who am I?” and, even worse, “Am I the person I think I am?” Young has written a novel that is a mystery, a sci-fi thriller, a philosophical inquiry, and a social critique. Deeply considered, humorous, tragic, and remarkably genuine, This Will Be the End of Me is a magic trick of storytelling.”
—Zak Jones, author of Fancy Gap
