This book was fantastic. As a general education teacher, I feel like it really opened my eyes and for a moment let me put myself in the shoes of the families in the book. I feel like I was able to see all that goes in within a family and school. I loved seeing how different situations were handled. I think it helped me as an educator and I feel that every teacher should read this book. Not only to gain understanding but also empathy.

I love that this book provides a different perspective regarding students in special education. It allows us to see different aspects of their lives, such as medical, home and family life, and education perspectives. It helps to see things through their eyes.
