A real time story of Ukraine’s endangered children

"I chose this book for our Ukrainian Book Club. The book is well written and researched and could totally identify with the characters. Not just a book for YA. The adults enjoyed it. Can’t wait for # 3"

Pre-teens

"Great book for pre-teens, to understand the realities of the war on Ukraine"

Kidnapped From Ukraine Under Attack

"A Brilliant Masterpiece of an incredible read! Skrypuch has done an outstanding piece of work as the reader is totally absorbed in this intense story. You can not put the book down. There is so much in this story that she has captured and I am in awe. 6 likes"

Riveting. Immersive. Eye-opening.

"Thoroughly researched and emotion-filled story of the indiscriminate impacts of the ongoing war in Ukraine, and the disinformation spread by the perpetrators. Remaining firmly rooted in the point of view and experiences of a 12-year-old Ukrainian girl named Dariia, the story begins when her home is attacked on the first day of the war. The intensity is unrelenting page after page. Later she is kidnapped by Russian soldiers, separated from her family, and taken to Russia for re-education and indoctrination. But Dariia refuses to accept the new identity being forced upon her and puts her impressive computer skills to work. Hope and family bonds are powerful companions for Dariia, her twin sister, and their parents in the face of disaster. I will definitely read the next two books in this series. Highly recommended, important read."
