George Stern was born on April 21, 1931, in the Budapest suburb of �jpest. After the war, he immigrated to Israel and fought in the War of Independence. George and his wife, Judit, left Israel for S�o Paulo, Brazil with their two children in 1960, where they lived until they immigrated to Canada in 1969. George Stern is very active in Holocaust education both in Toronto, where he and his wife still live, and in Florida.
