"The first comprehensive review of research on violence against women to have been produced in Canada. It will be of interest to both researchers and students for its depth, scope, and readability." --Diane Crocker, Saint Mary's University "The strength of the [book] lies in its overview of research from such varied directions. Its organization of that research into areas of concern and the complete review of both domestic violence and sexual assault is critical in this climate where sexual assault is rarely given air time." --Helen Eaton-Ramirez, Wilfrid Laurier University
