Rolly nació y creció en Orihuela hasta que en 2007 se trasladó a Valencia, donde se matriculó en la Universidad Politécnica. Tras seis años —y dos carreras inacabadas— asumió que la ciencia, y la vida universitaria en general, no eran su verdadera vocación. Es autora de la trilogía Amor y Virtud (2019) y de la saga de fantasía La extinción de los elfos, cuyo primer libro, La primera plaga, se publicó en 2021. Profundamente atraída por la estética y el deporte estadounidenses, traslada ambas pasiones a esta novela, que retrata la vida en una ciudad ficticia de Utah en 1985 y el mundo del fútbol americano universitario, claramente inspirado en Shotgun Lovesongs de Nickolas Butler. 

Rolly was born and raised in Orihuela until moving to Valencia in 2007, where she enrolled at the Polytechnic University. After six years—and two unfinished degrees—she accepted that science, and university life in general, were not her calling. She is the author of the Love and Virtue trilogy (2019) and the fantasy saga The Extinction of the Elves, whose first book, First Plague, was published in 2021. Deeply drawn to U.S. aesthetics and sports, she brings both passions into this novel, which portrays life in a fictional Utah city in 1985 and the world of college American football—clearly inspired by Shotgun Lovesongs by Nickolas Butler.
