ABOUT THE EDITOR Rev. James Butler - The American Baptists have a category of clergy that describes Jim's ministry - "Wandering Minister." Educated and ordained Southern Baptist with a M.Div. and D.Min. from Southwestern Baptist Seminary, Jim first served a Southern Baptist Church. Later he served as Elder in the United Methodist Church. For twelve years he worked in the insurance industry, earning an M.B.A. and a C.P.C.U. designation, co-inventing a published U.S. Patent owned by USAA. God was not through with him; so, he "wandered" back into six years of full-time service as Executive Pastor of The Church at Litchfield Park, Arizona. Affiliated now as a clergy with the International Council of Community Churches, he and his wife, Carol, live in the Verde Valley of Arizona.
