The first book in the New York Times bestselling trilogy about Janie, who is able to slip into people’s dreams, and the secrets she learns and must come to terms with as a result of her mysterious ability.
Not all dreams are sweet.
For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people’s dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie’s seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.
She can’t tell anybody about what she does; they’d never believe her—or worse, they’d think she’s a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn’t want and can’t control.
Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else’s twisted psyche. She’s a participant…

"Not my favourite novel. The story line was somewhat creepy"

Really Good
"Although there are some parts that are little childish, the plot will help you get over the annoyance quite quickly, it is well written and unlike anything you have ever read before."

Wake
"I thought there was a decent amount of romantic chemistry and though I found the turn this takes with Cabel somewhat predictable, it does take the story in an interesting direction. #plumreview"

Unique Read
"Before I say anything else, let me just say that this book is so unique! The world, writing style, and everything. Really enjoyed it. When I first saw this book, I did not expect myself to like it so much. I picked this book up because I really like the cover, as it is beautiful and mysterious, and I like anything that gives off a mysterious feeling. When I look at the what it is about, I found myself drawing into it and wanting to read it. But because it is only about 200 pages long, I did not expect it to have much in between pages. But oh, was I wrong. This book was magnificent. It captured my attention throughout every second of it. I can really feel the challenges Janie faces because of her ""ability"". Plus, because it is a short read, time is not a major concern, as you can slowly read it through without worrying about not having enough time to finish it. Overall, I must say that Wake is definitely worth the read if you are looking for something short and dreamy."

ok book
"It was very interesting to see Janie getting sucked into dreams. Because that was what was happening. She couldn't help but be sucked into someone's dreams when she was near them. Some of them were nice but some of them were pure nightmares and it was almost impossible to get out of them. The story is short just about 230 pages and the writing is simple and to the point. It didn't take me long to finish it. The plot was pretty much simple too with the big surprise in the end. I did not expect that about Cabel! The romance between Janie and Cabel was pure sweetness. That's what it comes to my mind-sweet-they were so cute together and you could see how they bonded with each other, because they both have scars and burdens but they helped each other. Overall I liked it. I wouldn't have read this if I hadn't seen it at the bookstore at the time. It was a sweet story and I'm looking forward for the rest."

i love this book
"I really like this author. I loved thisn book. it may be in 3rd person, but it is written in a journal type waay. I love how she grasped the concept of a dreamcatcher and really brought it to life."

Interesting
"Very well written but very cliche. The plot is good and easy to understand. A simple read, nothing complicated. The characters are likeable."
