I was born in 1970 in the East Midlands of the U.K. I first visited Thailand in 1996 at the age of twenty-five. I began to write the book, 'Walking the wild side' in 2002 because when I told a select few of my family and friends about what I got up to in Thailand, they would always listen with interest. I tried at the time to publish the old fashioned way by sending the manuscript to many publishers and none of them were interested unless I were to hand over thousands of pounds that I didn't have, and so I stored the file to a compact disc and forgot about it for years. I found the disc at the start of 2015 in a box in the shed at the bottom of the garden and up-loaded it to my laptop. Because the file was on an old version of 'word' done on an old P.C. using Windows 98, the text was all over the place with lot's of strange symbols all over it. I spent some time cleaning it up and finally got to read the main manuscript. It brought back loads of great memories as I read through it. I then decided to publish through Amazon as I was completely void of any funds... and the rest is history, as they say... Allan Dudson.
