We Are Made of Us is a rare gem and a balm. With expertise, compassion, and vulnerable reflections from his life and work, Park reminds us that we are buoyed by our communities and are never alone in the vital work of passing down a brighter future to generations to come. I will be returning to the wisdom of this book time and again.
— Qian Julie Wang, New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Country

In a world that often feels disconnected, We Are Made of Us reminds us of a profound truth: Our lives are intertwined in ways we may not always see. Through poignant storytelling and heartfelt insight, J.S. Park explores how our relationships, both fleeting and lifelong, shape who we become. This is a moving, soul-stirring read about the beauty and burden of being human together.
—Julie McFadden, RN, New York Times bestselling author of Nothing to Fear

In We Are Made of Us, Park provides beautifully transparent and tender stories that inspire us to tap into our capacity for healing, loving, and liberating ourselves.
—Thema Bryant, PhD, psychologist and author of Matters of the Heart

With his latest work, Park is simultaneously answering the question “What happened to you?” and providing a pathway forward. Without diminishing struggle, pain, or complexity, he offers us an invitation into deeper connection, compassion. This book is the haunting alchemy of trauma into possibility, and I wanted it never to end.
—Hillary L. McBride, PhD, psychologist and author of The Wisdom of Your Body
