Timeless. Beautifully Written.
"Gothic, vile, and all around deeply rooted in an obsessive love that either resonates with the reader, or doesn’t. By resonating, I mean connecting to the story and its characters. It’s beautifully written and there is a great deal of reading in-between the lines for the subtle messages. Back in the 18th century deliberately writing explicit scenes about intimacy, or adultery was absolutely frowned upon. Emily Brontë was able to relay this without a single crude passage, or distasteful phrase. 10/10 read."
