The best part of Lucille's life, as she describes it, is knowing that Jesus loves her. The first question that arises the moment she hears of someone passing is, "Did they accept Jesus into their heart?" She will go right up to anyone facing death and ask that life-changing question. And she'll approach others with encouragement: "Has anyone ever told you God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life?" She knows that God is omnipotent, and that settles it for her. Born in Alabama, she has traveled and lived in several different states, but has now found her way back home. From her teenage years, she recalled writing love letters for close friends. Her book focuses on the lives of women coming out of challenging relationships, mainly divorces. Lucille's writing is not limited to just this type of self-help. Some of her favorite writing includes allegory and short stories. She also enjoys reaching out to women in prison, where she served as a volunteer prayer counselor. While assisting with Bible study groups in youth centers, she aided in winning 45 young girls to Christ all, under the age of 21. Lucille is the CEO of her elderly home business, Candlelight Compassions, in her home town. She still awaits any and every opportunity to share the Gospel and to see the lives of people changed. She also enjoys being at home again, where she was raised as a little girl. She remembers this is where it all started in a small little town surrounded by a lot of love and a lot of memories. "I started this book in 2002 at the age of 47," says Lucille. "I'm now 58 and published. I mention this to note that it's never too late to walk in your dream, no matter what it is - as long as you give God all the glory."
