Since 1989, Bishop Gordon has served as the Senior Pastor for Triedstone Church of Chicago; a Full Gospel Baptist Church in Chicago. Internally, he shepherds an active congregation of 3,000+, twelve pastors who are responsible for their own congregations, and 30 support ministries. Community wise, he is the Chairman of Total Resources Community Development Organization (TRCDO). Through this faith-based entity, over 50,000 lives are positively impacted annually with various outreach services. Bishop Gordon's recent efforts include spearheading building new and better relationships with the Lupus Foundation, the Cancer Society, and the American Heart Association. He is an active Board Member of Prevention Partnership, Inc. as the Faith Based Chair for HIV Awareness and Substance Abuse Prevention since 1996. Bishop Gordon actively serves on the White House Faith-Based Council and with St. Jude's Cancer Research Children's Hospital as the Associate of Sunday of Hope Promotions out of Memphis, TN. He was awarded the Paul Kelly Service Award, the Path Award twice from the Department of Public Health, and the United Theological Seminary's President's Award. He is a member of the CORE group, which is a faith based council that addresses the utility industries to ensure fairness. Bishop Gordon has also led over 20 overseas expeditions; and serves as an Instructor for African American Clergy and Educators in Ethiopia, Egypt, Israel, Greece, Turkey, Rome and South Africa. He has published several writings, including "Walk in the Spirit," "The Human Idea of God" and "Church Formation and Development" and "Intentional Living Lessons from the Psalms" in 2011. Bishop Gordon is involved in the Tehillah Music Group where he serves as a Board Member. Externally, under the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, International (FGBCFI), he serves in many capacities. For 12 years of service as the State Bishop for Illinois, he was presented with the State of Illinois FGBC Vision Award. Since 2003, he has served as the jurisdictional Bishop for the Midwest Region Full Gospel Baptist Churches, which includes churches in five (5) states, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan, and Canada. He continues to be the facilitator for the Inspiration Period during the annual Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Conference.
