Interesting Read

Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2023This is the book I needed to read but didn't know it. As many of us have been through some type of trauma in our lives, it's not always easy to regulate. Especially when there are triggers that happen in your life that make you jump or react every time they pop up. This book is excellent for many reasons and you will see once you read the book. It will begin to speak to you especially if you have been through trauma. My favorite part of the book is the regulation techniques that are provided in the book. The author has you identify your specific trauma and provides guidance of what you should do to help self regulate based on the trauma you been through. This is great because there is not a one size fits all. Great read and anyone who wants to begin to heal themselves after years of trauma and alarming triggers should pick up this book.

Short book packed with helpful information

Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2023I have a degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and I appreciate and affirm the approach of this book to a common mental health struggle. In this short work, the author gives a good, brief explanation of the way the body deals with trauma and a number of helpful coping mechanisms that someone could try.


This is not comprehensive, but is a very well done introduction that could lead a person on the right path to a more balanced, healthy life after suffering trauma.
